The conversation on cinema between Piero Messina and Giuseppe Lorenti has offered a dialogue on passion, art and the craft of filmmaking: a journey through vision, memory and fiction, retracing the steps that led the director from early experimental works to his feature debut, The Wait.

The event has been realized in collaboration with Off Cinestudio and Leggo. Presente Indicativo, the literary series organized by Radio Lab, with the support of Indigo Film.

Speaking of Sicily, cinema, and directors to chase:
“Sicily and childhood, both synonyms of wonder and origin of my images” and “as a director, but even more as spectator, I love films which I cannot tell with words”.
On Sokurov: “I chased after him as a cinema student to know how he was able to do certain things; it was nice to see myself in competition against him in a festival”
