CRS – Studio ACA / Amore Campione Architettura

CRS is a newly built residence located on the hills near Catania. The building emerges decisively from the garden and the lava rock behind it, standing apart from the surrounding constructions. Solid volumes, simple façades and essential materials define a sober architecture rooted in the landscape.

The living area, entirely above ground, opens toward the landscape through large windows that regulate the entry of natural light. Interior walls guide the view outward, while the pool, set into the monolithic lava-stone base, visually connects with the sea.

Alba Palace Hotel – Architrend Architecture

The design intervention poses itself between tradition and innovation, through the preservation of the authentic elements of the building, and the use of modern materials, such as steel plates for the elements protruding onto the façade. A pavillion with ample glass walls, built on the last floor and intended as a suite, guarantees a suggestive view on the main church and the castle.
