Research, experimentation and autoproduction are some of the themes on which today many protagonists of contemporary inclination confront themselves.

There does not exist only industry anymore, with its logic and possibilities, its big scale productive dimension and the global dynamics of the big market, but also the local dimension, the artisan work, the limited-number productions.

Presente Artigiano (Artisan Present), curated by Lucia Giuliano (with Vittorio Venezia and the Abadir Academy for Design and Visual Arts) shows at Futura Memoria the strong and brave identity of designers who become promoters of themselves and initiators of new processes: a collection of selected objects for recounting the four designers’ (Federico Angi, Alvaro Catalàn de Ocòn, Francesco Faccin and Vittorio Venezia) research, who explore in different ways the new frontiers of contemporary architecture.

Vittorio Venezia has lead instead a group of students from the Academy for Design and Visual Arts Abadir, who have explored the theme of the infinite variations of the vase, delving into the manufacturing of pottery and interpreting in very different ways the theme of process and language.

At Presente Artigiano a multiform variety of their experiments was shown, as a tale of a training path.
